Late posting from Sunday. It was a bit chilly in the park this weekend but not the bitter cold we have experienced in the park over the past 4 years. We served many servings of sweet and sour pork over rice. According to our friends it was delicious. There was so much food we served it up and took it to The Mustard Seed drop in center on Stony Plain Road. Over the winter we have seen a lot of our regulars with a few new people. And some new families. We’ve been serving a few families and this winter we have a couple of new families. One has 4 young children and another family has 5 kids. Feeding five kids and two adults takes a lot of food and they’re always grateful for anything we have to spare. As usual we had our pb&j sandwiches and hard boiled eggs and treats to hand out as well as the hot meal. Someone came to the park with feminine hygiene packets, cold weather packets and a large bag of socks we handed out to our friends. The most commonly asked thing is do we have any gloves but we ran out of gloves weeks ago.
