Butler Park was icy today but it felt warmer than last weekend. And despite the ice our team was out serving our friends in the park. We served 250 servings of beans and Weiner’s along with hard boiled eggs, pb&j sandwiches, with lots of goodies. There was coffee and hot chocolate as well. Thank you to Donna and John Ekland from Warburg for helping us out. Thank you Dale Dejarlais for volunteering and bringing extra sandwiches. Thank you to St Vincent de Paul for 15 bags of winter clothes. We have a lot of working poor and families who come asking for warm clothes as well as our vulnerable friends. Thank you to all our volunteers both at the park and behind the scenes. Thank you always to Hosanna Lutheran church for the use of the commercial kitchen and also for accepting donations.
