Winter arrived and it was a quieter day in Butler Park. The volunteers were there helping everyone who showed up. We served about 200 servings of beef stew. With lower numbers everyone got as much stew as they wanted. As usual we had sandwiches. This week there were the usual PB&J and some cheeze whiz as well. Hard boiled eggs and treats galore completed the food handed out. Pastor Cam had coffee and hot chocolate for all who requested a hit drink. We also had some cold weather clothes donated. Jackets, hats, gloves, blankets and sleeping bags. There is a high demand for men’s gloves, women’s too and warm socks. Thank you Shoppers Drug Mart and and Lynn of St Vincent de Paul. Thank you to all the volunteers who show up to serve the needy people in the park. Thank you Hosanna Lutheran Church for allowing us the use of their AHS approved kitchen and managing our donations. We are not funded by any organization. All the food and clothing is donated. If you are interested in helping donations can be made at Hosanna Lutheran Church or by etransfer on their website.
