It was our last warmish day in Butler park today. We served 294 servings of cowboy stew. We also served 120 containers of Filipino noodles. As usual we gave out peanut butter and jam sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, goodies and yogurt. As a special treat we had mango pie. Everyone got a big piece. Mr Wright was there with donuts. A favorite in the park. Pastor Cam served coffee and hot chocolate. We handed out some extras in the park today. As winter approaches we handed out clothes, jackets, socks and mittens. We also had toothpaste and tooth brushes and some feminine hygiene products. Thanks to Shoppers Drug Mart for their regular donations. Connie and Rajjah for the noodles we handed out today. Dale Desjarlais for corn bread, bannock, and clothing donations today. Thank you to all the volunteers both behind the scenes to serving and driving. We couldn’t do this work without them. Thank you Hosanna Lutheran Church for letting us use their kitchen, creating a bank account and helping us by accepting donations. We are not funded by any organization. Everything is donated. Donations can be made in person or etransfer to Hosanna Lutheran Church.
