It was a windy day in the park today. We served 250 servings of rice, vegetables and BBQ pork courtesy of the HongKongers association. It was enjoyed by everyone. Pastor Cam brought hot chocolate and coffee. He also had juice, tooth paste, nutella snacks, and personal hygiene supplies today. Thank you to the people from St John’s Evangelical church for the winter clothes. Also Dale Desjarlais for bringing clothes, blessings and Halloween candy. Thank you Shopper’s Drug Mart for weekly donations of treats and other things. Thank you to the SSRS for acknowledging the work we do in the park and for partnering with us this summer. We look forward to many more years of partnership with them. Thank you to Hosanna Lutheran Church for use of the kitchen and space to prepare the food and sandwiches. Also for accepting donations towards helping the homeless. As always we are looking for volunteers. If front line serving is not what you want to do there are things behind the scenes we can use help with. We do not receive any government assistance from any level. Everything we are able to serve and give out comes through donations. Any donations can be sent through Hosanna Lutheran Church. Also as winter draws nearer we are looking for men’s boots. Size 10, 11 and 15.
