It was a very wet day in Butler Park this Sunday. The heavens opened and it was pouring as we set up in the park. Still the people were waiting for food. We served 230 servings of cowboy stew, lots of treats, peanut butter and jam sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, and drinks. Pastor Can was there with coffee and iced tea. Our friend Kenny Frogash returned with pop, pastries, clothes, bread and clothes. We have some amazing volunteers, and are always looking for more. We have openings on Friday mornings in the kitchen or making sandwiches. Sunday mornings heating the food and getting everything ready for the park, Sunday afternoon in the park serving, helping set up and take down the tables and awnings, Sunday after the park doing dishes.
