SUNDAY, JULY 5, 2026.. at Butler Park. It was a beautiful day.. no rain just blue skies. We have once again a very long line up of hungry friends up to the end of the gutter. THE HELPING THE HOMELESS GROUP never failed to show up every Sunday to bring hotmeals, today was a stew beef with potatoes & vegetables cooked so clean, nutritious & smells & taste delicious cooked by our dedicated chefs behind the scene today were Jane & the Hongkong team. Great job guys. Everybody gets to eat, some even have seconds. Over 250 cups were served. Without the following people to thanked from the bottom of our hearts we cannot do this: 1. To all the volunteers. The behind the scene, those who picked up donations, bread & meat, treats, cook & prep on Fridays. The sandwich team, the uhaul team with Devin & his 2 helpers cute as buttons His children Kelly & Parker, the park team, the dishwashers team, the COUPLES FOR CHRIST, the cameroonian teenagers who helped us today, Dale Desjarlais who brings the words of Jesus in the line up. All your efforts to do all our works are truly seen by God. 2. The ever supportive Hosanna Lutheran Church.. thank you so much for letting us cook, use your beautiful AHS approved kitchen. Also thank you for being the very good stewards of our monetary donations. Hosanna offered a tax receipt every end of the year for any monetary donations for HTH . To Mr. Wright.. for his delicious donuts. The people always look forward to it. 4. For Faith Community Church, at 104 Ave & 142 Street. This super humble Pastor’s family never failed to bring the hot & cold drinks for everybody at the park. 5. To COBS bread.. specifically the Winderemere Branch.. thank you so much Michael through Joan we got blessed by your bakery loads of bread & treats for how many weeks now. Let us support this Bakery. They give back to the community. 6. To St. John the Evangelist Parish. By supporting us with monetary donations & they also put HTH into their list as bread recipient also from cobs every 4th Thursday of the month. So thankful for Lynn who leads this bread run program. 7. To Shoppers Drug Mart MEADOWLARK branch. Please support this store. They have been supporting HTH for years now with donations Every week like toiletries & snack food. 8. To our boss angel & our cuzin Darryl. Who brings all a lot of other extras to give away to those in need..like food, blankets, household items, sugar, spaghetti, flour galore a pallet full & many more countless items. 9. The Edmonton Food Bank. thank you for allowing us to use & take your resources. It is such a big help to continue feeding the hungry. 10. And most of all, thank you all our dear friends, the vulnerable, the homeless, the struggling families who are housed & are working but can hardly buy food. We thank you also for appreciating what we do. You keep us going & you keep us young by moving everyday.. 11. And not but not least, the school GEORGE H. LUCK, Specifically the grade 2 students & teachers who collected the over 300 mac n cheese. It was such a heartwarming act of kindness.. the teachers here fosters , kindness, generosity & caring for others who don’t have anything to eat . A big thank you for doing that.. We distributed them all at Butler Park today.. such a great extra food for the people to bring to their camps and thank you Roy Fabricious for facilitating this. We are achy & tired each week but its all worth it to see our brethren who are deprived of the basics in life esp. food to also eat. SO PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP VOLUNTEER IN ANY CAPACITY, EVEN FOR FOR HOURS A MONTH, IT WILL HELP US IMMENSELY. We will also give a letter of credits for any high school who needs it for their volunteer hours. Try volunteering with us.. there’s lottsa friendships & camaraderie here. But most all being the extension of God’s hand. Making the difference in many person’s lives. That’s priceless. Thank you for reading this. It was all good.
