It was a pleasant winter day in Butler Park on Sunday. Not too cold and no wind. We handed out 240 servings of turkey noodle stew. Along with PB&J sandwiches and cheese whiz sandwiches. As usual we had baked goods, chocolate, candy ,chips and other treats. There was plenty of coffee and hot chocolate to warm people as they waited for food. My Wright was there handing out his very popular donuts. We had lots of blankets to hand out as well. Moving blankets are good for the homeless people. They sit on them and it decreases the cold seeping up from below. Thank you Shoppers Drug Mart for donations. We are completely volunteer run and do not get funding from any level of government. Donations are gratefully received. They can be sent to Hosanna Lutheran Church or sent by e-transfer to the link on Hosanna’s website.
