June 16

Hello everybody, It was a Great Day in Butler Memorial Park yesterday.

It was windy, it was warm then cold but no rain, all the people were enjoying being out and each others company. Some new but mostly those who we have come to know. By the Grace of God we were able to provide a feast. Lets see the meal started out to be hamburger soup then it became goulash and some how Sloppy Joe’s. We gave out 238 servings of the Sloppy Joe’s. Our newest member brought 100 pieces of Bannock, 338 Hard Boiled Eggs, chocolates and other sweets for every one, 492 PBJ sandwiches (2 for each) water and to top it all off we had delicious cheese cake for everyone [donated]. Yes the cheese cake was a huge hit. A very high percentage of this community have never had cheese cake before and they loved it. The ages of this group are from 2 years old to almost 90, yes 90. Yes with your help we feed everyone in this community. Thank You to everyone who can donate, you help to make this Happen every week.

Clothing is always a busy place, Catherine did a fantastic job. Cam provides the coffee, ice tea and hot chocolate along with prayers and Aldon provides bibles and also prayers. The Park has become a church for many and they truly enjoy it. Clothing is in need of hygiene products for both ladies and men. We are in need of potatoes, carrots, onions and cans of diced tomatoes and peanut butter and jam.

I must say Thank You to everyone of our volunteers who gave up fathers day to help. Their dedication is amazing. As our numbers are climbing and we need more volunteers with the summer months ahead and holidays. We especially need help on Sunday mornings heating the food to the required temperature. If you can just spare one Sunday morning a month that would be a great help. It is an easy job just heat the food and at 1pm there will be help to wrap the meals and load in the vehicles.

Thank you to everyone one who Helps to Prepare the meals.

Thank you to everyone who helps to make 400+ PBJ sandwiches.
