It was a windy day in Butler Park yesterday. The lineup was long most of the time, but we had enough food for all. We served 294 servings of beans and Weiner’s and bacon vegetable soup. We had lots of canned goods to hand out. Corner beef, ham, sardines and corn were handed out along with random other food items. The chocolate and crackers were enjoyed be all. As always we are in need of volunteers. Someone to help warm food on Sundays, the dreaded dishes afterwards, drive the U-Haul truck sometimes, and prepare food on Friday mornings. Thank you to all the people who volunteer and all the donations. Special thanks to St Vincent de Paul for the extra canned goods and crackers we can hand them out.

Thank you Fresh Harvest Basket for donating to HTH ( Helping the Homeless Group) these 17 boxes of yellow bell peppers. It will be used in the hot meals that we cooked for the homeless. Please support this new & small store. Corner of 156 Street & STONY PLAIN Road. They give back to the community so others can eat. Plus they have really fresh produce in there that are so priced well. Like 50 lbs. large onions. Only for $22. I like their authentic & pure olive oil too.
