THE HELPING THE HOMELESS GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS (HTH) did it again. It was raining cats dogs yesterday but nothing stopped us from serving the over 250 hungry , cold & wet from the rain friends & families who are struggling. We brought them our popular cowboy stew, treats galore, sandwiches, boiled eggs, hotdrinks, love, Understanding & prayers. Without the help the following we cannot do any of this: 1.HOSSANA LUTHERAN CHURCH. The amazing kindness of this church Pastors & parishioners allows us to prepare & cook so that others can eat. They are also a very good stewards of any monetary donations for HTH. They gave tax receipts in our behalf. COBS BREAD IN Winterburn branch. Thank you so much Michael & your staff for donating to us your super delicious breads, buns & treats. We are able to make 400 sandwiches each week. Please support this bakery. They give back to the community. 3. SHOPPERS DRUG STORE in MEADOWLARK. Let us also support this branch. They’re very very kind & are giving to the community as well. 4. DARRYL our friend & big supporter of HTH, our cuzin who brings us oil, flour, sugar & other stuff galore.for distribution at Butler Park. Yesterday, he brought us hundreds of huge thick bags big enough for one person to shelter himself from the heavy rain. It was a perfect timing to give them away yesterday. 5. THE FOOD BANK. thank you to the staff that are so helpful & kind to us to look for what we need to cook. 6. TO FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH AT 104 & 142 STREET. Pastor Cam & his family who are always there giving hot drinks. 7. TO MR. WRIGHT FOR HIS POPULAR DONUTS. 8. AND MOST OF ALL … TO OUR MOST GIVING, SELFLESS VOLUNTEERS. ESP .THE COUPLES FOR CHRIST WEST END CHAPTER. The cooking teams both Friday & Sunday, the sandwiches team, uhaul team serving team at the Park.. and most of all my handsome son James who are always doing behind the scenes heavy lifting. Picking up donations, Preparing everything that we need for Friday & Sunday so it will be easier for others. He is never seen and quitely doing his jobs for HTH & his love of Jesus. Thank you son. Maybe I raised you well after all. WE DO NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR UHAUL DRIVING, FOOD PREP ON FRIDAY & SUNDAY & SERVING AT THE PARK. If you can find it in your hearts to spare for even 5 hours a month consistently it will help us a lot. TOGETHER WE’RE BETTER !
