It was a warm day in Butler Park today. The weather is strange for January but no one complained today. We served cowboy stew a park favorite. There were so many people we ra. Out of food by 2:50. We also served hard boiled eggs, lots of treats. Coffee and hot chocolate. Half of the sandwiches were peanut butter and jam and half were cheese whiz. This weekend we had a group visiting from Nipiwan Bible College in Sakatchewan. They helped serve the bags of treats, the drinks, the soup and any prayers requested. They are a joy to have serving with us. Thank you to Shoppers Drug Mart. St Vincent de Paul and all who donate to us. Thank you to Hosanna Lutheran Church for the use of their AHS certified kitchen and for being a donation collection point. Donations can be made by mail, in person or etransfer to donations@hosannalutheran.ab.ca please include HTH in the notes. We are not sponsored by any government organization. We are completely donation run. We are restructuring the group and are looking for volunteers one weekend a month. If you are able to volunteer please reply here or us.
