SPRING HAS SPRUNG INDEED. Such a nice day in Edmonton, Sunday, March 23rd at BUTLER Park. Now a place of friendship, compassion, tolerance, understanding & love was full of people lined up to the gutters of ETS transit ready to taste the scrumptious hot meals & treats that HELPING THE HOMELESS GROUP Good Samaritans has prepared for them. A beef stew with veggies, cookies galore donuts, corn dogs, bread, cakes & sandwiches.. they were enjoyed pretty much by our hungry & poor homeless brothers & sisters. And those that are housed too but are short of food. It was so good to see many of our volunteers coming back as well & new ones too. HTH group can not do all this without the following that we need to really show our appreciations. THANK YOU TO: 1. HOSANNA LUTHERAN CHURCH for allowing us to cook in their AHS approved & beautiful kitchen. And for accepting the donations in our behalf giving tax receipts. Please dm me for details in donating. By e transfer, cheque or cash only to be sent to Hosanna NO OTHERS. 2. TO ALL VOLUNTEERS. Such selfless human beings. So kind & generous of their time, money & efforts to help others who are hungry. We also pray & missed our volunteers who can’t make it to the park for health reasons. Thank you esp to Roy Fabricious who founded this beautiful ministry, started using his pushed wagon to bring soup & sandwiches at the park for the homeless . 3. The donors. Such as the food bank, Shoppers Drug Mart, L’oca supermarket at 142 St. & 91 Ave. (Please support this new store. The previous owner has supported us every week with bread for our sandwiches & treats. Now the son owns it. Let’s support him too. They give back to the community tremendously.) 4. Cobs Bakery. For the bread & treats. 5. Theresa & Paul Cloutier, Mr. & Mrs. Wright, and the new couples who did bakings of Cookies & other treats ( I will look for their names) , the many silent monetary donors, Pastor Cameron of Faith Missionary church who is always providing the hot drinks. WE ARE NOT FUNDED BY ANY GOVT. NOR ANY ORGANIZATIONS. So please donate through hosanna. We walk the talk, obey the mandate of our faith to “FEED MY LAMBS.” Also please volunteer with us, (Christians or not. We welcome all who loves humanity. Whose hearts are ready to give food to the poor.) it is such a blessing to be able to feed the hungry. Sunday morning is when we really need volunteers & driving the uhaul from 12 -4.
