The delicious Lazy Cabbage rolls was the main menu yesterday at Butler Park’s HELPING THE HOMELESS in the West End by the Good Samaritans. About 200 of our homeless friends were served hot meals, treats, bread, coffee, juice & donuts. Not to mention the special homemade bannocks of Tommy. I see eyes lights up to get that piece of Bannock. It probably brought some childhood memories of their moms or grandma Willow to the many of them.
This feeding of our brothers & sisters who are struggling & are less fortunate is not possible without the help of the super kind & selfless volunteers, the donors, & Hosanna Lutheran Church whose tremendous support for HTH is always available. They lend us their kitchen & issue tax receipts too for cash donors. Yes we are so grateful for the anonymous cash donors. Because we are not funded by any govt or org., without any cash donors, the volunteers put our money & resources together so we can feed our less fortunate friends in the Westend.
Special mention this week to Mary Ann R. For the food processor, that speed up cutting the onions esp. if it makes us teary eyed, Laurie for the Rice, our master chef Joan’s mystery friend who gave us hundreds of treats, the food bank who always supports us, our beloved Pastor Sandy 500 lbs. potatoes from her kind friends in Calmar, scrumptious bannocks of Tommy & Sherry, all these are very well appreciated not just by us or the people that we feed but by one very important of all- our God Lord Jesus Christ.

If you need tax receipts please indicate & put your full name & address & phone #. If you want to help us alleviate the sufferings of others please come to volunteer. Also we are asking for blankets, jackets, snowpants, etc. Because your donated blankets could be the only roofs over their heads this winter freeze.
