TODAY SUNDAY, NOV 10, 2024 WE HONORED ROY FABRICIOUS & some of his friends who were founders of HELPING THE HOMELESS in the west end group. We presented him with a cake which we know that he likes all his friends at the park to have a piece. He started pulling his humble wagon full of hot meals at Butler Park some 3 yrs ago to give food to the homeless whose last meal was 2 days ago which were mere eggs & bread all day Monday to Friday. Then it stopped on a Friday at 4 pm which means that the homeless in the Westend area doesn’t have anything to eat until Sunday at 2 when HTH group comes & give them substantial hot meals, etc. The downtown area has lots of soup kitchens but in the west end it is scarce. Roy started the whole feeding program feeding only 50 people but within 3 years it grew to feeding the over 300+ poor & homeless. In spite of the fact that we don’t get any fundings from any govt or organization yet we managed to always come up with hot delicious meals for our vulnerable friends. Sometimes we the volunteers put our monies together so we can cook for the vulnerable forgotten. They became our friends, some lives were transformed because Butler Park who used to be a haven for crimes now has become a place for hope, love, gentleness, acceptance & respect for one another. Thank you Hosanna Lutheran Church for always supporting us lending us their kitchen so we can cook. To all the volunteers who never feign for any praises but just wholeheartedly work hard without complain esp. behind the scenes so others can eat. Thank you. We asked that if you can help by volunteering please DM me. You can also donate cash or by e transfer & a tax receipt will be given all facilitated to us through Hosanna Lutheran Church. So grateful for them. DM me for details about donations. We especially thank our donors, be it cash, cheques, roasters, potatoes, carrots, apples, blankets & jackets everything you give goes directly to the people. We are all volunteer based so 100% of your donations goes towards the food. THANK YOU from our deepest hearts. God bless you. Most of all & again thank you MR. ROY FABRICIOUS for letting us continue your legacy that taught us to be kind, tolerant & just do the works of God loving the forgotten unlovable ones. Enjoy your retirement. We will try harder to walk the talk.. “The Lord hears the cry of the poor.”
