February 9th

It was very cold in Butler Park today. The wind picked up and it started snowing making it even colder. There was a line of people waiting as we set up and we served 155 servings of turkey noodle soup. Most of them got peanut butter sandwiches, boiled eggs, fresh baked goods and chocolates with their soup. We also had some Amazon bedding returns we handed out. Thank you Roy for being the collection point. As usual a lot of people asked for gloves, but we did not have any. If anyone has gloves or mittens to donate they will be happily received. Thank you to the Catholic Women’s league St John’s for donations of coffee and sugar to Pastor Can who provides hot drinks in the winter. Also thank you to Shoppers for their ongoing support of the people in Butler Park.
