We had a great day in Butler Park feeding the homeless and needy this weekend. It was a feast! We had 480 sausages, 700 pancakes 500+ eggs scrambled, 2.5 cases of bacon and 2 cases of hash browns. Everyone’s belly was full and they for as much food as needed. We had the usual hard boiled eggs, treats, juice, water and peanut butter with jam sandwiches. Pastor Cam was there with his coffee and iced tea, prayers and bibles. Mr. Wright handed out lots of donuts to all who wanted them. He’s a very popular person every weekend. Thanks to all the people who donate every week so we can feed in the park every week. Thanks to Shoppers for the donations. Also thanks the Hosanna Lutheran Church for the use of their AHS approved kitchen every week. As always we are looking for volunteers. Going to the food bank weekly, cooking Friday morning, heating the food on Sunday mornings, serving in the park in the afternoon and washing the roasters after serving in the park. I was fun to make 700 pancakes yesterday for Feeding the Homeless & many hungry housed families but can’t afford food in the West end. We will be serving brunch today. We will see how it goes. MANY THANKS TO THOSE LEND US THEIR FLAT GRIDDLES (will give them back today) & NATHAN WHO DONATED MONEY SO WE CAN BUY ONE. ESP MANY THANKS TO HOSANNA LUTHERAN CHURCH for allowing us to cook in their AHS aprroved kitchen. And big thank you to the amazing & fun volunteers who came cook & clean up. They’re selfless..

Please Volunteer with Helping the Homeless Group in the Westend. Many position to fill. Many responds to our ads like this but they dont show up. Giving hotmeals to the starving poor & the forgotten is crucial in the west end particularly. We dont have lots of soup kitchens here unlike in downtown area. But we need Many hands & feet to respond to the need of our hungry brothers & sisters. Please text me if you’re heart, hands & feet says yes. Thank you for reading this. God bless you.
