HELPING THE HOMELESS in the West End Group is accepting donations of any produce from your garden or farms. We cook every Friday hot meals to be served to the homeless & poor families who are struggling to buy food. Every Friday we use 50 lbs of onions, carrots, tomatoes in cans, peanut butter, jams, bread, ground beef, potatoes, etc. So we can come up with enough food to feed the over 350 hungry human beings so they can also eat. It is heart wrenching when a family with small children would be running to our tables only to find out that we ran out of food not even a sandwich to give. We are not funded by any govt nor organization. As volunteers we put our resources together like money time & efforts so others can eat. Or we rely on donations if there’s any. We are now also collecting blankets , jackets, winter gears if you have any please donate them to us. Any of your donations goes 100% to the people it is intended for. You can also e transfer to Hosanna Lutheran Church. It is where we cook & they are the very good stewards of any donations for us.
